Vj/ギタリストの小久保ヒロキとサロンモデル/ボーカルの鵜沼麻衣子によって、東京で2019年に結成されたロッタ·ラブは、ローエンドのベースを武器にするVとトラベルライターのアメリカ籍/東京を拠点にするドラマー、リッチー·ヘンリーが参加し、日本のポップ/ロックの期待感と、エレクトロニック、ポストロック、ダンスロック、ワールドミュージックを驚くべき形で融合させ、「オルタナティブ·ポップ」と言える表現できる何かを生み出し、ロッタ·ラブは日本から世界へ向けて演奏をする。
そして、Panic! at the Disco、Björk、The Cardigans、Blondie、などの影響を受け(実はバンドの土台はオールドスクールなガレージロック/ロックンロール/パンク/R&B/ダンスミュージックに影響)、ロッタ·ラヴの精力的な美意識と、日本語と英語の両方で歌うことに対するインターナショナルな情熱は、間違いなくダンサンブルで、同様に映画とファッションの両方に共鳴している。
このように、ロッタ·ラブは、高揚するメロディーと複雑な感情のミックスを通して、挑戦的な社会規範を続け、一人一人の美しさと独自性の自己発見を促したいと考えている。
また、最近では、リミックスアルバム「Bad at Love」が世界中の新旧音楽ファンの注目を集めている。
Formed in Tokyo, Japan by guitarist mastermind Hiroki Kokubo and vocalist Maiko Unuma, Lotta Love blends a sense of the expectations of Japanese pop with an astonishing fusion of electronic, post-rock, and world music – creating something that could be better described as “alternative pop.” With influences ranging from Hikaru Utada, Panic! at the Disco, Björk, The Cardigans,and Blondie, Lotta Love’s connection to energetic aestheticism along with a cosmopolitan passion for singing in both Japanese and English makes for a concoction both undeniably danceable and, likewise, fit for film and fashion. Joined by low-end extraordinaire V(But) on bass and American Tokyo resident drummer Richie Henry, Lotta Love has played and continues to perform all over Japan. Most recently, their remix album “Bad at Love” has captured the attention of fans, new and old, around the globe. As such, Lotta Love hopes to carry on challenging social norms and encouraging the self-discovery of each individual’s beauty and uniqueness through a mix of uplifting melodies and complex emotions.
